How to support your Immune System- Helpful tips from therabrew founder, Alexsandra Letunica

Immune Support should be considered as high of a priority as washing your hands regularly. Tip 1 ) Include various amounts of Vitamin C. Foods containing high amounts of Vitamin C are powerful immune system boosters and are known to support the body when fighting off infections. Try adding some citrus fruits, spinach, broccoli, peppers and kale, these all contain high amounts of Vitamin C.  

Tip 2 ) Protein. Include protein rich foods into every meal, this includes eggs, beans & legumes, meat and nuts. A diet containing little to none protein has been found to disrupt the bodies immune system. 

Tip 3 ) Get friendly with your herbs and spices. Their health benefits do not nearly get as much attention as do their flavour. Parsley, Thyme, Garlic, Ginger and Turmeric are high in antioxidants and have been used for centuries as antibacterial, anti-fungal agents as well as immune enhancing whole body detoxifiers. Turmeric also reduces many forms of inflammation.
